Discover® Card recently announced a new 5% spring cashback bonus promotion for their Discover® Platinum Card cardholders.That’s bonus number two. Department stores and specialty shops are giving their very special card customers another reason to shop: rewards. Especially if you're paying an above-average rate. For instance, when the card expires Discover will contact each merchant with the updated information only if the member signed up online through Discover.

But there is a way to stop this cycle and it’s by getting a credit card and using it responsibly. Your issuer merged with another entity. If they tell you to consolidate and close accounts, be careful how you go about this. Discover Card has established a hotline 1-800-DISCOVER for those affected to determine assistance needed through payment relief, emergency replacement cards, emergency PIN numbers and other special services.

People are so wary of online credit fraud—and for good reason—that they don’t even shop online. Credit card companies sometimes change their payment P O Box. But when anyone else checks your credit, a credit inquiry is registered. Merchants not listed can be contacted directly or members can e-mail Discover who will work on adding any merchant who accepts Discover as payment. If you fly with one particular airline company, you can utilize that airline’s travel reward credit card.
